TDR Cassi    ARI: 119210
DOB: 6/15/93    White
Dam: Rosada  ARI: 98169   White
Sire: Casanova II  ARI: 98188  Med Fawn/White

Cassi is now 17, so I can't be too greedy. Her micron count, at age 12, was 28, with a CV of 16.6 and SD of 4.7. Yes, she is older, but she is a quality girl.  Cassi most recently delivered a lovely dark brown (w/ white facial markings) female out of my silver grey herdsire in 2006 and a dark brown/black/white male in 2008. She will be retired as a valued aunti and companion animal and forever appreciated for the quality babies that she produced, after the birth of her cria(sired by Gunner) in April 2011.

Millenium White Hope   ARI: 838016
DOB:1/8/00  White
Dam: Pperuvian Apatia's Jewel DF/WH
ARI: 172225
Sire: Peruvian Chocolateer MB/BL    ARI: 132439

Hope is a wonderful mom and has had outstanding cria. Both of her sons have gone on to become herdsires. Her daughter from 2004 is just beautiful with dense & crimpy fiber.  It did take a while for Hope to successfully have another cria, but little Summer Surprise was worth the wait...a med brown female born in June 2008.  Hope was rebred to Silver Beech for a May 2009 cria, and had a bay black & white male, Masquerade.  She is now bred to my multiribboned fawn boy, Gunner, for a late fall 2010 cria.

Beech Springs' Mirth       ARI: 30480902
DOB: 10/2/07     Med Brown w/ White markings
Dam: Levity  White
Sire: Garth Vader   Bay Black

Poor Mirth sustained a femur fracture at 4 weeks of age. I think she had been stepped on. She has had surgery twice and has recuperated well. What a year she had in 2008, but now, in 2009, she is doing well. She just needed to catch up on her growth. Mirth's fiber is fine & consistant, just like her parents'. I will wait until she is closer to 3 years of age before her first breeding. 2010 Histogram: 18.2 / 2.9 / 16.0 / 0.9%

Benchmark Gwinevere by Avatar     ARI: 31405690
DOB: 7/29/08    White
Dam: My Spirit by Peruvian Superstition  ARI: 31037815  Beige
Sire: Aztec Avatar   ARI: 839747  White

Gwen brings genes from the stellar Peruvian's.... Hemingway, from her sire's side, Black Magic and Mr President from the dam's side. Her sire is a color champion white who hails from Canada. At least 4 of her half siblings (via sire) are already blue ribbon winners and/or color champions! Plus, her grandam is also mother of the gorgeous grey, Ice Capp, who won Reserve Color champion at the 2005 OABA show.

Her fiber has incredible shine, has nicely architectured crimp, and what a handle! And check her histogram. It'll beat most of the competition: 17.2 / 3.2 / 18.7 / 0.7% in 2009.  Gwen is now bred to MaRS Canso, my Pachacuti son, for a June 2011 cria. Progesterone and behavior is + for pregnancy.

Beech Springs Summer Surprise  ARI: 31204910
DOB: 6/11/08    Medium Brown & White
Dam: Millenium White Hope  ARI: 838016  Beige
Sire:  Silver Beech  ARI: 1069020  Medium Silver Grey

This pregnancy was a complete surprise, thus her name. She has fine conformation and she is healthy and well...growing like a weed, just like a young cria should.  She may, like a similarly marked 1/2 sister (same sire), develop into a rose grey as she matures. In any event, she has a strong and solid bone structure that should lend itself to a successful career as a foundation breeder. She has just had her maiden breeding to my Pachacuti son, MaRS Canso, and is behavior testing positively.

Beech Springs' Gemini Moon    ARI: 31204873
DOB: 9/13/08
Light Brown & Bay Black
Dam: IAOC Milly  ARI: 813257   True Black
Sire: Garth Vader  ARI: 1071139   Bay Black

Gemini is a most unusually colored alpaca. She has definate vicuna markings but also black face and lower legs. Her blanket is a brown, super soft & fine(check the histogram!), with a high frequency crimp.. Nice general conformation..good & straight...although a bit leggy. Her bite is fine. 2010 histogram: 19.7 / 3.4 / 10.0 / 0.9%

Gemini just delivered her first cria, a true black female. THe birth was normal and she has plenty of milk for her growing little girl. I'm going to keep her open until late fall of this year.

Pategonia's Midnight Sun      ARI: 30406186
DOB: 10/2/05   Light Brown
Sire: El Mito 574   ARI: 84553   White
Dam: Belle  ARI: 808599    Med Brown

Midnight Sun was purchased at the 2005 Parade of Champions auction by Chase Tavern Farm. They saw her at AOBA 2005 and were "smitten". She was bred to Evander twice and has produced an outstanding male cria in October 2007 and an equally beautiful female cria in November 2008. Well mannered (although I have discovered that she is a very good jumper of 4ft fences) and with solid boned & large frame, Midnight Sun has a very dense fleece with good consistency to crimp and staple.

UPDATE: After a ridiculously long pregnancy of 366 days, Midnight finally delivered on 7/1/10. A dark brown, perfectly conformed 19.2 lb male. He seems strong and healthy so far! She will be kept open this summer and a breeding decision will be made in the late fall.

Chase Tavern Mysia    ARI: 31445016
DOB: 11/5/08   Beige
Sire: Evander   ARI 808844   Beige
Dam: Pategonia's Midnight Sun   ARI 30406186   Light Brown

Mysia is a beige Evander daughter from Patagonia's Midnight Sun.  Great coverage, style, strong bone and coverage, she's the complete package. With Evander as sire, her color potential in future production is endless. She has great staple length, density and crimp definition, & a soft, soft handle. The girl is lovely!! 2010 Histogram: 23.4 / 5.3 / 22. 6 / 10.1% Blanket weight 3.10lbs

Mysia's maiden breeding was with my full Peruvian, light fawn herdsire, Gunner. That should add a fabulous mix of lineages(Accoyos Caligula, Shangri La) and color possibilities(his first cria is a black!), all while making a high end cria due in early June 2011. Board free until pregnancy safe to travel.

Abenaki Awiben   ARI: 30411203
DOB: 4/18/06   Medium Brown
Sire: Cassius BCAC  827912   Bay Black
Dam: Rosita 11F  831044   Medium Brown/White

In a word, fabulous. This female has stellar lineage, conformation and fiber. She has proven herself worthy in the show ring, is a pleasure to handle at home, and is a beautiful animal to observe.

Awiben's first cria arrived via a textbook perfect birth in early August 2008. She was up and nursing quickly and Awiben was a terrific first time mom. Little Maggie thrived and was over 43 lbs at 2 months old. Maggie followed in her dam's footsteps by earning her first ribbon at the CABO show; earning her own 5th place ribbon in a very competitive 7 entry class. She sold easily at 10 months of age. Awiben was bred to my Pachacuti son, Canso, and her progesterone level and behaviors indicate a successful breeding. 2009 Histogram: 22.9 / 4.5 / 19.8 / 6.5%

Beech Springs' Black Berri     Ari: 30480131
DOB: 4/6/06   True Black
Sire: Garth Vader    ARI: 1071139   Bay Black
Dam: Las Piedras DR Hollie Berri    ARI: 1127997     Medium Brown

BB's dam is a terrific mom....plenty of milk, protective and has not needed help with birthing, and so far Black Berri has followed suit. She delivered a healthy, solid bay black little male cria in mid November. With plenty of milk, and lots of nurturing, Tarheel has grown well and is maturing into a very nice boy. His first micron count check came in at 17.6!
BB is now bred to my 1/2 Accoyo, black herdsire, Tyson, and board is free until that pregnancy is confirmed and it is safe to travel. She is behaving strongly positive for pregnancy as of mid August.  2007 Histogram: 18.3 / 3.3 / 18.0 / 0.8%

Osage Incan King's Brownie Sundae   ARI: 30964525
DOB: 11/11/07    Medium Brown
Sire: Snowmass Zorro's Incan King   ARI: 842164   Medium Rose Grey
Dam: Greystoke's Prelude   ARI: 811156   Dark Fawn/Bay Black

Brownie enhances the breeding program with her density, solid conformation and lineage. The well known Snowmass animals are coveted in part for their fineness and style. Brownie's sire, Snowmass Zorro's Incan King is out of Incan Magic, and continues a line of fabulous rose greys. Brownie's full brother is a rose grey as well. Naturally, Brownie will be a female very likely to be able to help produce fabulous grey cria herself. Her fiber density is wonderful, crimp structure well organized, and her conformation is solid, making her an excellent foundation animal.  2009 histogram: 22.9 / 4.6 / 19.9 / 5.0%.  Brownie is bred to White Reisling for a June 2011 cria. Progesterone and behaviors + for pregnancy.

Mariah of LEAF   ARI: 30568693
DOB: 11/6/06
Sire: A of O Roayle Terrazu   ARI: 848715   Medium Brown
Dam: Heartsong Bewitching Endora   ARI: 1041590   Medium Rose Grey

Lineage Alert! Out of an award winning dark brown sire and a rose grey dam, this young dam is from the line of the gorgeous true black, Michelangelo (son of Pperuvian Guellermo!), and Quetzal (out of Timoteo) and the incredible rose grey, Rosario.

Mariah has lovely conformation, excellent coverage, a perfect bite and is a pleasure to work with. Her first cria was delievered effortlessly in July 2010; a stunning light brown male, named Kaluah. She is going to be held open until late fall before rebreeding.

Annastacia of LEAF   ARI: 30568761
DOB: 6/28/06   White
Sire: MFA Jax Mac   ARI: 845501   True Black
Dam: Logan's Liberty   ARI: 846971   Medium Brown

Anna is a white out of a true black and a brown (go figure!). In fact, a review of her registration shows that in 4 generations she is one of only 3 whites! The others whites? PPPeruvian Augusto and Peruvian Bueno. Could be worse! Oh yes, and I'll mention another few famous ancestors...Peruvian Dakotia and Peruvian Macusani. Her lineage is a veritable "who's who" of alpacas. Her sire, the bay black MFA Jax Max, had a micron count of 18.6 at age two @ his third shearing, and is one of four generations of blacks and greys. Anna's handle indicates that her fineness will follow suit.  2008 Histogram: 22.7 / 5.4 / 23.8 / 5.0%
